Economic woes aren’t deterring prospective cosmetic surgery patients Rolling Meadows, Ill. — A flagging economy and skyrocketing gas prices apparently aren’t stopping Americans from seeking cosmetic procedures, reports news source Cleveland.com. According to a survey of 562 members of the Rolling Meadows-based American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), steady use and even growth is indicated in specific cosmetic-related procedures such as fillers, laser-related and injectable-toxin procedures such as Botox. Further, nearly 63 percent of respondents say they are maintaining a consistent volume of bookings for existing patients seeking cosmetic-related procedures, compared with six months ago, while 24 percent say they’ve had an increase in the number of such patients.
